Shocking entry withdraws
The Evernham number 9 was seen on the entry list earlier in the week but all of a sudden on Wednesday news broke that they had withdrawn from the Edmonton race. When asked why owner Ray Evernham cited a trailer fire as the reason for the withdrawal. Ray also said that they had lost both cars as well as some of the parts on the hauler. When asked about using the 98s backup car the team said that was not an option because they only had one road course car left and the backup is the primary for Daytona. Sandfer will still be the points leader leaving Edmonton as he has a 177 point lead coming in
