Season 5 Silly Season

In an interesting decision by the Coke Vanilla Cup Series they have decided to introduce a new car for the next season that will be run for part of the season. They are calling it the COT and so far the only complaint from drivers has been of the look of the car. Racing has been tested out of these cars and so far the racing has been spectacular and these cars are supposed to be safer which is always a good thing.

Now that the announcement has been made for that there have been teams that have announced that they will try to run the full season and there are teams that have said they will only run the COT races as well as only the non-COT races

JGR certainly was an interesting lineup this season putting three rookies behind the wheels

Pericles is Looking at Roush or RedBull

Roman is Looking very interested in RCR

William Brock is looking to debut with Joe Gibbs Racing. Henry Williams is looking to debut with Chip Ganassi Racing.

Team switch confirmed for Mathews

Kyle Mathews confirmed today that he will be joining the Hendrick Motorsports team next season. He will be driving the 48 that is piloted this season by William Duncan. It will be interesting to see if Mathews will be able to turn around a car that has been slightly underwhelming season for the car.

Penske goes for young talent

With the spectacular ability shown by Mason Neel in his first season in the Coke Vanilla Cup Series Roger Penske has once again decided to go with a young rookie driver to pilot one of the rides. This time he will call upon rookie Jonny Gardner to pilot the 06 machine. It will be interesting to see how this works since at the moment the 06 would not have any points headed into the Daytona 500.
